SafeSport Act for 2020

The Safe Sport Act expands existing mandated youth abuse reporting laws and requires abuse awareness training for youth sports organizations. Under this law, all of our in house and travel coaches will have to do additional training to be a coach.  If you indicate a willingness to coach in the 2023/2024 season, you will receive instructions for completing the background screening and training process.  Thank you for your willingness to volunteer your time and efforts!

If a child is unable to attend evaluations, SCAYBA policy now states that the player must register for evaluations and notify the Board of Directors in writing seven (7) days prior to the evaluation stating the reason they cannot attend and the age group they are requesting to play with. Priority placement will be given to those attending evaluations. A roster position will not be held for those players who do not receive approved waivers.
